We are entering new era of mobile technology of smartphone and tablet pc with many choices from low to high end devices. The OS technology also has growing so fast and it is a tight competition. For example a mobile phone and tablet with Android Ice Cream Sandwich with attractive feature like face recognition. Apple IOS with Siri voice command. And many more.

Another vendor is RIM with Blackberry trademark is trying to win the competition. RIM starts with new promo in Indonesia with 50% price cut on Blackberry smartphone. Recently RIM's Promo is selling the Blackberry Playbook 16 GB with only $99 to their employer. This promo also allow the employer to buy it up to 8 units, and for the bigger version they just pay $50 for each upgrade.

The normal price for Blackberry Playbook  16GB is $199, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64 GB. This is very interesting ! Will this strategy be an advantage to employer to re sell again to end user? We can tell that RIM is playing with price strategy to attract people to buy their product and to win the mobile devices competition.
