Android Ice Cream Sandwich is the latest OS from Android which has many interesting features. Since this OS has been announced, many vendors tried to bring it into their latest smartphone and tablet pc. One of the vendors is Acer from Taiwan.


Acer has officially announced the Iconia Tab A200, the latest Android tablet pc that claimed to be affordable and can be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich in January 2012. Unfortunately the Iconia Tab A200 is still armed with the old Tegra processor 2 while the other competitor tablets have been put on Tegra 3 quad-core into it.

The Iconia Tab A200 is built with specs 10-inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels, 260 x 175 x 12.4 mm and weighs 720g, Nvidia Tegra 2, 1 Gb Ram and 3260 mAh battery that can last 8 hours for video playback and 400 hours of standby time. Acer provides this Iconia Tab A200 into 2 types of storage media that is 16GB and 8GB. Also there are USB port and microSD slot for memory expansion. Unfortunately there is no rear camera though 2MP front mounted camera for video chat.

For the connectivity Acer Iconia Tab A200  built in with WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, GPS, gyroscope, and accelerometer. Use the 3.5mm audio jack for high quality sound out put to speaker or headphone.

Iconia Tab A200 also use the Android 3.2 Acer Ring interface customization to access various functions such as galleries, volume control, up to the browser. Till now there is no information about the price.
