The tablet has a stunning mixture of features which can be very attractive not only for domestic users but also (and specially) for the corporate market. It is available in models with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.

The Lenovo tablet, targeted to the business segment, is already available for sale (starting August 29th / 2011). The launch of this Android gadget with a 10-inch screen was announced approximately one month ago by Lenovo. It has a stunning mixture of features for consumers and for using in business environments. So, if you are working in a, for example, IT department of a company, this tablet could be a great choice for you and your team.

By the way, the screen contains the highly damage-resistant and lightweight Gorilla Glass (manufactured by Corning Incorporated), so you won’t need to be worried all the time about awful scratches. That’s cool!

The same like other tablets with Android 3.1 (HoneyComb) in the market, the ThinkPad tablet has cool features like a IPS (In-Plane Switching technology) multitouch screen of 1280 x 600, 1GB of memory, front 2-megapixel camera (perfect for video calls and teleconferencing), rear 5-megapixel camera (for functions like taking pictures, making videos, or scanning barcodes), and a NVIDIA Tegra 2 DualCore processor. There is an available model of 16GB for $499 (350 euros), a version of 32GB for $569 (400 euros), and a third option of 64GB for $669 (465 euros).

With only these specs and an adequate price, the ThinkPad Tablet is at the same level as other competitors.

However, the plus of the ThinkPad is a set of corporate tools focused on remote administration (which would be very useful in case the tablet is lost or stolen), support for Cisco VPN, and encryption tools for all the data that you can use whenever you want. Free included applications (about 25) like Documents to Go, PrinterShare, and Computrace make obvious that the main target of this gadget is the professional user who needs to work with a reliable, and high quality mobile computer in a work environment.

Continuing with the ThinkPad portable design and style, Lenovo also has added physical keys for the tablet in order to go back, lock the screen, and go home. You can add a case with keyboard for $100 with an optical TrackPoint which is quite similar like those you can find in the ThinkPad laptops (as seen in the picture below). And even there is support for entering data through a stylus (digitizer pen or pen tablet) on the pressure sensitive screen. The active digitizer stylus costs only $30 and was developed by N-Trig that also provides the software for handwriting recognition; in addition, it’s nice to know that the stylus can be hold inside a slot located on the tablet that was specifically designed for this purpose.

Other features include: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, buit-in GPS, mini HDMI out, SD slot for increasing storage capabilities (actually it is a 3-in-1 memory card reader), a full-size USB 2.0 port that can be used to increase storage even more or to connect other devices (such as external hard drives), a micro USB port, a battery that allows up to 8.7 hours of power after a full charge, and a set of sensors such as A-GPS (Assisted GPS) or ambient light sensor.

Additional applications are installed by default including Oovoo for video conferences, Netflix, and Kindle for Android.

Of course, you also will be able to access to a lot of other applications from Android market.

As a temporal drawback, this tablet is not compatible with 3G technology for mobile broadband yet… but this should not be a problem after October 2011 when this feature will be added… at least for the 32GB and 64GB versions. However, if you have a mobile hotspot, this drawback is not a problem for you at all since you can use 3G broadband connection like a Wi-Fi connection; so, in this case, it’s possible to use a mobile broadband even if you buy the 16GB version.

If you keep in mind that HP is shutting down its tablets segment, we can say Lenovo is taking advantage of the current condition of the industry to become an important and serious competitor in this market segment with a great Android-based tablet, completing at the same time the Thinkpad family that also includes laptops and desktops computers. In point of fact, the Lenovo Thinkpad series (previously owned by IBM) is known by its high-quality features and innovation, so it’s no wonder that this new tablet becomes a very strong competitor for the iPad in professional environments.

Todd Bradley, executive vice president of Hewlett-Packard’s Personal Systems Group, has stated in an interview that the TouchPad tablet, which was recently pulled out from the market, could be revived. That is to say, the company has not entirely abandoned it WebOS system and still fighting to get a strong status in the mobile market.
“Regardless of what happens, we’re the largest PC company in the world”, Bradley has pointed out. Then he emphasized the importance of the mobile segment:  “Tablet computing is a segment of the market that’s relevant, absolutely”.

According to Reuters, Bradley confirmed that the TouchPad tablet could come back; and he made this statement while he was traveling (for business) in China, trying to calm down and explain the current situation to the parts providers. So, obviously, these declarations are an official confirmation that HP is clearly looking for a second chance in the tablets segment which is dominated by the iPad and the Android tablets at this time.
Among the possibilities to explore in order to boost this segment at Hewlett-Packard, it’s possible that the WebOS becomes an open-source system (well, at least it could be an “open-source system” for a selected community of mobile makers in the industry). This platform has earned a sort of prestige because it is a product that has been active in the technology market since the Palm days. And the Palm was an innovative entity in the mobile market before Palm, Inc was bought by “the largest PC company”.
Recently (on August 18), HP had announced that the company was going to lay aside its WebOS operating system along with its TouchPad tablet; this product had been available only since July 1. And, when the company announced the tough decision, sellers reduced the price to $99.
But, why HP is changing its mind? Without doubt, the surprising demand from the consumers buying the remaining units of the TouchPad is a good reason, though the reduced price was obviously a powerful incentive to originate the strong sales.
“Despite announcing an end to manufacturing webOS hardware, we have decided to produce one last run of TouchPads to meet unfulfilled demand”, HP spokesman Mark Budgell wrote on a post on the official HP website. Of course, “a last run of TouchPad” doesn’t mean a full come back of the TouchPad but, if the demand continues strong, then it can be a permanent decision.
The new produced tablets would be available for sale in a few weeks and the company has not said a word about how many tablets will be produced in this “last run”. “We can’t promise we’ll have enough for everyone”, Budgell wrote.
The company will produce the tablets during its fourth fiscal quarter, which finishes on October 31.
Regarding the price, HP has not confirmed if these new units will have the same reduced price of the remaining units in the stores during the last weeks: $99 for the 16GB version and $149 for the 32GB version. Keep in mind that, initially, the 16GB version had a price of $499 (an extreme difference).
With those incredible prices, most retailers were able to sell all the units of the HP tablet. It caused a sort of online craziness and long lines of common people and offer hunters waiting at the doors of stores.
“The speed at which it disappeared from inventory has been stunning”, Budgell pointed out.
In addition, while users were happily buying the bargain gadget, an interesting online initiative emerged: Taking a customized version of Android to work with the HP TouchPad. The project is leaded by a group of developers named Cyanogenmod team.
In fact, the project goal is to create a multiboot solution where the end user can utilize different mobile operating systems to work with the TouchPad (including, of course, the WebOS).  This group of developers has a special version of Android for smartphones called CM7 and they were able to boot the HP tablet with this OS. (See the video below).

Anyway, according to some preliminary estimates by IHS iSuppli, HP could lose money with each Touchpad in this last run if the prices are not increased. For example:  The 32GB version needs a list of materials that cost around $318.  So… maybe the party is over.
HP has been criticized for changing its mind several times when making important decisions; in any event, the future of Touchpad is not an easy decision with the strong competitors out there. We’ll see what happens now.

Samsung Sandwich Phone

Posted by th | 8:12 PM

New rumors and anonymous details have surfaced this week that point to a third "Pure Google" phone arriving in October with the latest build of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to information out of Korea's Electronic Times, the handset is expected to come from Samsung, run Android 4.0 and feature a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 720p Super AMOLED HD display. These details confirm reports initially leaked by Boy Genius Report nearly two months ago.

Samsung has long been rumored to be the handset maker of choice for the Nexus Prime and this recent news appears to substantiate the claims. Just this week, a pair of sources separately confirmed with OLED-Info that Samsung is readying mobile displays with a 720p resolution.

Samsung is expected to unveil new devices with these HD screens in September, presumably at IFA. What's more, an unannounced Samsung Celox recently arrived on the scene, carrying nearly identical specifications in a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 16GB storage, an 8-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

The next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, was initially on track for a fourth quarter release though recent speculation suggests Google has been stepping on the gas.

It makes sense that Samsung would unveil a refreshed Galaxy S II in September with Google following quickly with the Nexus Prime. The Nexus S was nearly identical to the Galaxy S so I would imagine a Nexus Prime could closely resemble an updated Galaxy S II. Of course, the recent news Google's proposed acqusition of Motorola Mobility may change this scenario somewhat.

On a related note, Samsung also dropped a new teaser clip on YouTube today, promising "something big" for IFA next month. Unfortunately the company quickly pulled down the 30-second video, but considering the tags associated with the spot included 4G and LTE, I fully anticipate seeing a larger, faster Galaxy S II announced. It's also very possible that this is the first time we'll see the hardware that goes into the Nexus Prime.

I once got a freebie from my Bank, the combination of a tape measure, calculator and Notepad with pen included. I thought it was cool until I saw Smart line.

Smart string is like a tape measure, but without the tape. It is 50 feet 20 pound-force line. The line is not as big as traditional measuring tapes, it means that you can get more in the less bulky space. It also allows the user to measure less than straight shapes like circle ball, for example.

Digital reading means that the user is no longer looking at ticks and reading accurate to three decimal places. After the user has his or her dimensions, he or she can use it on a calculator. The built-in Calculator, you can store in-memory dimension 3 If you need to make real life history of the problem.

All this, plus a flashlight as well as the level of the bubble. Smart string is clearly the way forward for a tape measure and I wouldn't be surprised if this new standard. One day, we could look at traditional measures as we look at Rotary phones.

You should be able to get smart line for $ 11.99 at ThinkGeek now.

I never thought I could get used to these keyboards laser powered virtual projection. Although I think it would be convenient to connect the device with something that creates a keyboard on any flat surface, I need some haptic feedback clickity click on keyboard.
I know that I should just grow out of this, because the keyboard touch screen work quietly, and I think we are moving away from the traditional keyboard buttons. Computers are great but, let’s face it, stock parts just aren’t happening. Every computer user (even the grandmas who can barely handle email) can benefit from a little personal tweaking. This time around, we’re taking a look at some quick and dirty upgrades for your PC. They range in price from $20 to nearly $1,000, so you could say there’s something in here for everyone.
Let’s get started with a little keyboard action.
I’ve seen some pretty whacky keyboard mutations that claim to benefit the user and increase ergonomics, lessening the dangers of carpal tunnel and other repetitive stress ailments but most of them are far, too far-flung, to be of any real use. Microsoft, however, isn’t exactly known for reinventing the wheel. That’s why I think that their newly redesigned Comfort Curve keyboard is one of the simplest and most efficient keyboards the average user can upgrade to.

Instead of splitting the keyboard like many fancier keyboards try to do—which makes it a clunky peripheral, especially when using it for various functions other than typing—Microsoft just gave their device a little curve.
The bowed design supposedly allows the user to properly align their hands and ease stress on muscles and tendons. At the same time, the keyboard retains all the functionality of a standard QWERTY keyboard. This is partially thanks to the fact that designers kept the keys a uniform size rather than varying them to achieve an end. Microsoft even kept the number pad (which a lot of ergonomic keyboards surgically remove).
The best part about this peripheral though is definitely the price. You can get your hands on one of these when they launch in August for just $20. That’s right around the price of other bargain basement keyboards which don’t work half as well.
The only drawback I can see is that the glossy surface is definitely going to pick up dust and fingerprints a lot faster than your old model.
Visit the official Microsoft website for more information about the Comfort Curve.
On the other end of the keyboard spectrum you have the Happy Hacking Type-S keyboard—the new device from PFU. The keyboard has been streamlined and retooled to allow for speed. That’s right, fast typists no longer have to worry about their peripheral not being able to keep up with them.

On the plus side, the keys are also guaranteed to make 30% less noise, excellent if you don’t like to listen to a lot of clacking while you work.
One quirk of the design is that the standard version of this keyboard comes with no letter printed on the keys. That means you have to memorize the position of each of the letters and function keys. Another drawback is that there is no number pad. The third drawback is that this keyboard costs $270 and you have to order it from a mostly Asian-language website.
So why would you even buy one of these things? The name and the fact that it’s a status symbol. After all, if you’re a hacker, how good can you really be when you have to stop to look at the keys?
There is another version available that has keys printed on it but you don’t get a discount.
If you’re determined to get your hands on one of these, you can visit the official PFU website.
For those of you whose hard drive is just too tiny, too slow, or too mechanical, a solid state drive might just be the answer to your prayers. If you have $900 and some change lying around, you can get your hands on the new Mercury Electra SSD from OWC.

The line of drives ranges in size from 120GB to a whopping 480GB, but the size isn’t really the story here. These drives use 6GB per second SATA 3.0 technology to deliver data at incredible speeds. In fact, with one of these puppies in your computer, you can write at up to 523MB per second and read at speeds up to 556MB per second. That’s fast.
The drives are both PC and Mac compatible and come standard with a 3 year warranty out of the box.
While the cost of these drives (the cheapest and smallest starts at $230) is prohibitive to all but the most technologically savvy, the fact that you never ever have to worry about a mechanical hard drive failure again is almost worth the price—almost.

The creators of Gscreen’s latest contraption—the SpaceBook Dual-screen laptop—new it was getting harder and harder to shock the jaded technophile community when they went into the brainstorming sessions that eventually gave birth to this beast. Rather than just being comfortable with faster processors and more ram or Super AMOLED screens, Gscreens decided to double down and give users two screens on one machines.
Now dual screen technology is nothing new in the desktop PC community—I’ve been running a dual-screen capable machine for years no—and even with laptops the addition of a USB port can mean slapping on another screen is as simple as plugging and playing but to have two physical screens built in to a single machine is something quite unique.

The SpaceBook was first announce almost three years ago now and has remained relatively off the grid as far as leaks are concerned. The company did reassure us that they were still planning on releasing these machines last year but up until last month nobody new when.
Now the full specs are out for us to drool over and I would say that these machines are really worth getting excited about.
The SpaceBook offers two 17.3 inch screens on one machine capable of resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 each. The screens open by sliding and provide a massive 34 inch workspace for work, play, or just killing time on FaceBook. Each screen can display a separate image or they can be slaved to create one elongated display. In addition, you can leave the primary display in place if you want a single-screen machine for the time being and breakout the other if you find you need a little more room to play with.

The addition of the two screens may seem like a sales gimmick but the company didn’t really skimp on any of the particulars in order to cut the production cost of the SpaceBook. Currently, there are two models available. The less powerful machine boasts a 2.66GHz Core i5-560m processor (pretty snappy if I do say so) and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. In addition, users will enjoy the benefits of NVIDIA’s GeForce GTS 250m card (with 1GB of dedicated RAM) and a 500 GB hard drive with read/write speeds up to 7200rpm.
The less-impressive specs include a “super multi-drive” (DVD=/-rw = DVD-RAM), and a plethora of ports. The whole thing is tied together nicely in a fairly lightweight magnesium alloy chassis. Of course it’s not going to be entered into the featherweight contest against and MacBook Airs but for a dual-screen machine it’s no elephant.
The “bargain” model will cost you $2,395 and you will have to put half down against your pre-order to secure your computer.

The beefier machine will cost you $2,795 (half down for pre-order reserve) but the specs are suitably impressive. You’ll have access to a 1.73GHz Core i7-740QM processor bundled with 8GB of RAM. The rest of the accoutrements remain the same so if you want an even bigger hard drive you’re going to have to shell out even more cash.
Now while most non-professional laptop users will definitely not need the performance that they get out of these machines (and definitely should consider shopping more budget-minded machines) pros and pro-wannabes can definitely put the extra desktop space to work.
The obvious application is in the coding world (think code on one screen, preview on the other) but these machines will also appeal to the business crowd who have to have spreadsheets, documents, and websites open and running all at once. Rather than flip through tabs or keep minimizing and maximizing, the data is displayed all the time.
The only possible drawback I can see from having two screens ins that your battery life will suffer dramatically. Strangely enough, the official SpaceBook page doesn’t list what type of battery the machines use or what their expected life span is. Still, if you’re willing to spend nearly $3K on a portable PC, you probably can afford a few hundred for a spare/larger capacity battery.
Hit up the official Gscreens website for more and to pre-order your own machine.

Just a few days ago, Korean company Samsung confirmed the existence of the Galaxy R,  a high-end smartphone that complements the line where the Samsung Galaxy S II is, apparently, the flagship product of the company in the current mobile industry (at least regarding mobile phones). Well, now Samsung is also confirming, through an official press release, some features of this smartphone and the availability in Europe. However, the Korean company has not indicated a list of specific countries where it will become available this fall.
Anyway, let’s talk about some of the features, which is the important part for readers of this blog.

The Samsung Galaxy R has a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor which works at a speed of 1 GHz. Also, it features a 4.2-inch Super Clear LCD screen with a maximum WVGA resolution of 800 x 400 pixels.
Regarding multimedia capabilities, the smartphone comes with a main photographic (rear) camera with a 5-megapixel sensor and ability to record HD video (720p). A second camera is located on the front side; it has a 2-megapixel sensor and is perfect when you need make video calls.
According to Samsung, this gadget has an internal memory of 8GB that can be extended up to 32GB by using microSD cards.
A curious thing is that the phone is already available in Sweden with another name: Samsung Galaxy Z. There, it costs approximately US$ 630, or “for free” with a two-year contract of about US$ 47 per month.
When compared to the Galaxy S II, this mobile could be seen as a little less sophisticated, but actually it  has very powerful features too and becomes a really interesting choice. Let’s see:
The dual-core chipset created by Nvidia and targeted to mobile devices (Tegra 2) is the heart of the Galaxy R. That is a main difference between this gadget and its elder brother Galaxy S II, which uses a Exynos processor instead (by Samsung itself). In theory, Samsung’s processor has a better graphics processing unit (GPU) and a more modern design but, to be honest, it is unlikely that average users perceive a huge difference since the Nvidia Tegra 2  is also a very powerful choice in the current mobile processors market.
As said before, another important difference is the use of a Super Clear LCD screen instead of a Super AMOLED plus. And what does it mean for users?
Well, in simple terms, an AMOLED screen produces richer and lively colors since it uses LEDs to display content (in fact, AMOLED means Super Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) but, honestly, nowadays the differences have become almost undetectable (unless you are obsessive with some really small details); on the other hand, a Super Clear LCD screen is made of liquid crystal display like those screens used in a wide range of applications.  So, does it mean that the Samsung Galaxy R has a poor screen? Not at all. Actually, the Super Clear LCD has a well-known advantage: It has better visibility under the sunlight (though Samsung has worked really hard to fix this issue in the models with AMOLED screens).
Here, you have a great video review made by the folks of PhoneArena.com
The rear camera has a lower resolution (5 megapixel against 8-megapixel of the Galaxy S II), which could be a little disappointing if you are one of those people who like to capture every remarkable moment in your day with a better resolution.
As for the power source, it comes with a 1650mAh battery that, according to Samsung, allows up to 550 minutes in standby mode and 580 minutes of talk time. Generally speaking, I think the battery lifetime is not poor at all if you keep in mind the type of screen.
Regarding the size, this smartphone is a little bigger than its brother:  125.7 x 66.7  x 9.55mm (compared with 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm).
As for the software, this is really similar to the Galaxy S II. That is to say: Android Gingerbread 2.3 as operating system, Samsung TouchWiz as touch interface, and “typical” hubs for Samsung’s sophisticated phones: Social Hub,  Game Hub, Readers Hub (to read about 2.3 million books, 2000 newspapers and 3000 magazines), and the Music Hub where you can access about 14 million songs.

Lenovo’s IdeaPAd K1 is quite an impressive machine but, unfortunately, it isn’t yet available for sale in the United States. That means you have to go through some serious back channels to get your hands on one of these little 10.1 inch machines—or wait. That’s right, it looks as though Lenovo is actively seeking permission to sell the IdeadPad K1 in the United States. In fact, the machine has been submitted to the FCC and is currently awaiting approval!
The market is flooded with tablets but most of them are running the Mac IOS or some less-than-stellar version of Android’s operating system. The IdeaPad is a Honeycomb table with a built-in Tegra 2 processor—which means it’s fast and versatile.

But what else will you get for your money when the tablet goes stateside?
How about 32GB of storage (which is still not accessible or upgradable) and a dual-camera setup with a 5 megapixel shooter in the rear and a 2 megapixel baby in the front? If that’s not enough for you, there’s also a microSD card slot for expansion! (at least one company understands that tablet users want more storage!)
You’ll also notice a handy HDMI out which is great for porting and high-quality video you’ve got stored on your device if the 10 inch screen just isn’t big enough for you. However, with a 1280 x 800 display, you can squeeze plenty of quality out of those ten inches.
There’s also a SIM card slot but no word on how (or by whom) the slot can be used.
But the software package is just as impressive as the hardware specs. Lenovo actually took the time to craft a custom Android interface to mesh with Honeycomb rather than just use a generic third party user interface. That’s a nice touch. Also, the IdeaPad K1 comes pre-loaded with a handful of really great software including Netflix (just in case you didn’t already have a gaming console, TV, or PC that was capable of accessing the video-on-demand service.)

But hardware and software don’t really mean a thing it the design is flawed. Thankfully, the folks at Lenovo had created a tablet that is familiar enough in its feel and shape to be comfortable in hand (and comfortable to use) but different enough not to be confused with one of the heavy-hitters already on the market.
Considering there’s no official word on a stateside release date, it’s no big surprise that nobody has a concrete price on this machine. While the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 did have a listing on Buy.com, that listing has since been pulled (but will probably reappear in the very near future) for unspecified reasons. Similar story at Krex Computers as well. However, while those listings were active, there was a $510 price tag up for a while—though there’s no telling how accurate that was.

If that is the correct launch price, it will place the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 squarely in line with competitors (maybe even cheaper than some lesser-qualified iPad opponents).
I suspect that, with the inclusion of a SIM card, the IdeaPad K1 may find its way into the arms of one of the big 3 cellular providers in the states—which is a good and a bad thing. The good is the fact that contract subsidies would (probably) drastically reduce the sticker price. The bad is that there’s a contract and it probably would be exclusive (at least for a while) to one service provider. (As you can tell, I’m not a big fan of US cellular companies.)

While it would be nice to have another tablet out there competing with the likes of the iPad (sorry, HP, your TouchPad doesn’t really cut the mustard), the true capabilities and limitations of the IdeaPad have yet to be learned.
It does have Honeycomb on its side and there’s no faulting the physical design of the machine but is it powerful enough, fast enough, and hip enough to truly be a contender. I reserve my judgment.
If you’d like to learn more about the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 Honeycomb tablet, keep your eyes peeled on your favorite retailer’s website or keep checking back with the official Lenovo website.

Many people can simply decent images automatically, and some extra zoom power but affordable camera to fall in the Pocket. It is only Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27. In some models, features many trying to jam as camera manufacturer is FH27 only have two major features is remarkable: 8 x, 28 mm wide angle lens and 3-inch touch screen. Back up a healthy selection of scene modes, and 720 p HD movie capture in the rest of it is pure and shoot Panasonic's reliable intelligent Auto (iA) mode. Touch screen, add a bit of glitz support stand out in the compact camera market crowded. This review is US based on the sister site CNET.com run tests. Some may be disappointed expectations wowed by people 16-Megapixel resolution is very good, good, true quality of the pictures may not reference this review or other products or Asia. The FH27. From going to get a theme it looks somewhat soft big ISO 100-ISO 400 difference.

In other words, shot taken in good lighting is very good, is thanks to Panasonic's "intelligent" technologies, you can almost automatically get solid results remain. Until the remarkable thing isn't noise from the details - particularly - traced and yellow blotching size significantly decreased ISO 400 or more it going. Your is not otherwise required for great low light shooting something this camera. Clear results for emergencies because really the only good heavy noise reduction and color have low-light shooting modes. Once again, just shot small print or Web use high ISO results acceptable might be.

From color, FH27 and happy nature. ( credit: Joshua Goldman / CNET)
Color is beautiful and natural. If you like the colors than you are usually taken in image mode or intelligent auto a happy and bright to switch from the standard color mode of the camera. Color is consistently up to ISO 400; is at the highest ISO sensitivity of two striking color. Good white balance under incandescent lighting warm auto, being touched, white balance besides. And good exposure as well as to limit the improvement highlights exposure feature Panasonic's dynamic range.
The basic quality of the video, is equivalent to the HD Pocket video camera. Good Web and nondiscriminating television watching as well. Create a typical judder videos from the most compact camera panning camera. The zoom lens does not work while recording a digital zoom. Result is not a comfortable recommended to avoid using it.
Is FH27 shooting options, the pretty bare bones; it is aimed for people who prefer to shoot automatically in definitely is. In the mode menu, Panasonic's intelligent is all about just as you and the results of the effect of the focus, color, white balance, ISO and exposure compensation settings control over you'll usually find the auto picture mode is.
If you prefer the scene mode FH27 27 people. Action also familiar in the list mode portraits to sunset and evening scenery such as high speed burst and high sensitivity low-light photography ( both capture image 3 megapixel and under) are included. Gets the particle experiments of pinhole camera and films, including some of creative shooting modes. Is to tie the spot's favorite scene mode shooting mode MyScene options are also available. Finally, you can capture video at HD resolutions up to 720 p movie mode.
I active kids and pets regularly taking FH27 and is not recommended, camera quite fast shutter lag and auto-focus, especially class. From the outside shot first time to very good in 1.3 seconds. Shutter lag (pressing the shutter button and soon camera image capture) with the well-lit conditions in our lab tests 0.3 seconds and is averaging just 0.6 seconds in Dim lighting. The shot good at times, 1.6 seconds, with no Flash, 2 seconds. You can FH27 full resolution up to 1.1 seconds taken by the first shots per frame focus and exposure. High-speed burst mode to capture up to 4.4 fps in mode 3-megapixel camera that can. Quality works at little or no cropping or expanding fairly mediocre Web use or small print.
Isn't the FH20 all is different from its predecessor, FH27 design. To hold something in brushed metal body over Panasonic basically right front grip sliver continually added to. On the very power switches, shutter, and zoom rings, E.Zoom button. The last one zooms in lenses altogether one touch immediately. However, press it again, basically crops 16 Megapixel image activates Center 3 megapixel extended optical zoom. This is a true optical zoom is misleading its name is a type of digital zoom. Press button 3 times the lens returns to starting position. Are physical controls, however; 3-inch touch screen, all other uses.
So you can get some can interface a bit more touch screen camera and FH27 when changing many settings to simply try to tap. For example, to enable continuous shooting. Touched the side of the left side of the menu icons, screen start getting two icons: one taking the other setup options selected. Shooting settings [choice via - four icons are trying to find what you're looking for: - slide. Successive two-screen is reached. Gets the secondary selectors select it, and enable functionality. From there, half snap of the shutter launch or return arrow 2 times to hit the press.
But it must be a physical button in essentially the same process of Panasonic cameras using only something a touch interface for seems to be slow. However, if type to tinker in shoot option this can certainly not a deal-breaker, accessing fast white, such as the ISO for some balance, Flash, or exposure to, the left of the screen, two of them to add. Icons for right shooting mode, play, and zoom controls (to more cooler, movie recording icon will look better than you would be useful). The rest of the touchscreen experience is pretty solid.
Screen response to calibrate better respond to your touch. Tap to focus on one subject is definitely positive, also on tap to shoot the focus – nice touch and you can tap, too many not careful. Tags shared with embedded playback you can use the screen to flip your photos and movie clips, a quick crop, or camera.
Uses a camera, or something, just stick, Pocket Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27, good walking around when they're day here and there to capture some moments it provides. Doing, trying to get indoor low-light shooting someone or active kids and pets may be happy, but otherwise a solid choice and excellent value.

Of Sharif Saqr wrote on June 30, 2011 2: 00 AMD should PM a package of new Llano is a bird of paradise in the next month, specially adapted for desktop computers, rather than laptops. The most powerful of them will be 2.9 GHz A8-3850, which has already caused a stir on the route overview for one simple reason: it pulls off a brutal "one shot, one kill" on Intel integrated graphics in HD 3000. AnandTech raised eyebrows on the fact that all his comparison of the games were played at $ 135 AMD Chip, which almost doubled the frequency of titles like modern warfare 2, Bioshock 2 and World of Warcraft compared to more expensive 2500K i5 Sandy Bridge. TechSpot announced its "new budget AP King" with graphics performance to another level "compared even with the i7.
However, the superlatives evaporates quickly after reviewers have shifted their attention to the processor. TechReport noted that is actually less than what you get from the lowly i3 pure CPU performance per dollar. In addition, he believes, you only have to spend an additional $ 70 to buy the much more powerful CPU and graphics card--version "horribly close k"sdelat' A8-3850 seems no value. Oy. However, if you are available processor with integrated graphics, what you're after, then it is fair to say, this one sets the standard.

If you still have nightmares about the original Wildfire the new version (the Wildfire S) will wipe those right out of your head. This new phone, now available at T-mobile (or at least it will be in August—not too much longer to wait) is a mid-level Gingerbread phone that hass all you r really need packed into a tiny, efficient little package.
The phone runs on a Qualcomm MSM-7227 processor at 600MHz coupled with an Adreno 200 GPU and features 512MB of RAM for your computing pleasure. That’s not to mention the handy 3.2 inch HVGA display sheathed in GorillaGlass (that takes up most of the phone’s real estate). Slap in a 5 megapixel camera (on the rear) and you’ve got a smartphone that isn’t a genius but won’t get stuck with the dunce cap on its head.

That’s a whole lot better than the 528MHz processor and QVGA display in the first model to bear the name Wildfire.
Even better is the price. The handset will cost you $80 (of course with a 2 year contract) (which is also a lot better than the $290 price tag on the original model—what was HTC thinking?)
The handset will be available in either white or black (though you won’t be able to convince your friends that it’s an iPhone) and will fit conveniently in the palm of your hand. In fact, that’s one of the nicest features about this phone—it doesn’t forget that it’s a phone. I have a friend—who shall remain nameless—that’s startled every time his fancy super-smart phone rings because he forgets it’s actually a phone. HTC has done a lot to remind us that the Wildfire is just that—a nice little cell phone with some cool “smart” options. The primary design factor is the less-than-4-inch breadth.

Of course you’ll get the micro-USB port that everybody loves to hate but the Wildfire also grants you physical lock/power, and volume buttons. In addition you can look forward to obligatory WiFi b/g/n, hotspot functionality, Bluetooth 3.0, and an FM tuner—cause who doesn’t want to listen to the radio . . . on their phone?
The 1230mAh battery isn’t the biggest we’ve seen (nor the smallest) but will last long enough if you don‘t overtax it. So with reviewers quoting anywhere from 5 to 30 hours of use, how do you know who to trust. I’d shoot for the lower end of that scale unless you don’t use your portable devices much. Turning off the WiFi functionality and adjusting the screen brightness will help but you’ll most likely find yourself without a charge when you need one at least once or twice with this puppy until you get used to the fickle nature of the juice box.

The camera functionality is a bit wonky. While the sensor is big enough to take some seriously good pictures, the application which runs the camera is slow to respond and taxes the processor heavily. That means what should be a fun and fluid experience (snapping a photo) ends up being jerky, frustrating, and produces lackluster results that are just okay.

And that’s not the only software issue you might run into. As I said above, the phone runs on Gingerbread but it has been skinned with the HTC Cense User Interface. Like the desire, EVO, and Incredible before it, the Wildfire S will look much the same. While that may be a plus for some users, undoubtedly others will be left wishing that HTC would stop pumping out the handsets and work on a better UI.
So as far as final thoughts go, the Wildfire S is a big improvement over its namesake but it’s definitely not the best phone on the market. However, with an $80 price tag it does give those of us the phone companies like to call “bargain minded” an option to get our hands on an Android device that won’t break the bank.
If you want snappy functionality and all the bells and whistle, look elsewhere. If you want a phone that works fine as a phone and has access to the Android Marketplace and all the apps therein, pick this puppy up.
Remember, it’s coming to T-Mobile on August 8th.

The Samsung Series 9 Laptops are some of the sleekest little portable PCs you can get your hands on. They promised to be some of the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful portable machines PC lovers could buy (Mac owners still laugh at that) when they launched three months ago but Samsung is not easily satisfied. Despite being on the market for only a few months, both the 11 inch and 13 inch versions of these portable powerhouses have been overhauled.
If you like the sleek form factor you don’t have to worry–the design hasn’t changed any. They haven’t even added a bulky battery pack to make the thing lopsided (the standard model will last 7 hours on a single charge!) You still get the rigid duraluminum chassis with the minimalist “Samsung” logo screen printed on the back, beveled edges (to create the optical illusion of slimness), and the matte HD LED “SuperBright” display with 400 nits of brightness. And let us not forget the backlit chicklet-style keyboard that is amazingly comfortable in spite of being packed into such a small frame.

All of this in a package that weighs just 2.8 pounds and is a mere .62 inches thick.
No, all of these changes are internal and as such, boost the already mighty power of these little performers to new heights.
Unfortunately, with great changes comes great price increases but the tradeoff between price and performance is still a pretty equal balance with these Samsung laptops.
So what do you get for your money? Let’s start with the 13 inch model.
The 13 inch model has been given a Core i7 processor and double the storage space on a new solid state hard drive (256GB as compared to a meager 128GB which it had at launch.) In addition, the top-of-the-line model is now available with up to 6GB of RAM which is more than you’ll need for doing most anything.

This means that there are now three Series 9 13 inch models to choose from, as opposed to two, so you can find one to fit your price bracket (maybe).
They break down as follows:
NP900X3A-A05US — $2,049 Intel Core i7-2617M processor6GB RAM256GB SSDNP900X3A-B02US — $1,649 Intel Core i5-2467M processor4GB RAM256GB SSDNp900X3A-B01US – $1,349 Intel Core i5-2467 processor4GB RAM128GB SSD
If you’d prefer something even smaller and lighter, Samsung has obliged. The 11 inch model of the Series 9 laptop has the same sleek design and palatable form factor crammed into a smaller package. While the performance does suffer somewhat, the 11 inch model is still a machine to contend with.

Samsung has been kind enough to make two 11 inch models available for consumers so you can pick and choose and weigh performance against price for yourself even if you’re interested in something smaller.
NP900X1B-A01US — $1,249Intel Core i3-2357M processor$GB RAM128GB SSDNP900X1B-A02US — $1,049 Intel Core i3-2357M processor2GB RAM64BG SSD
While the 13 inch models are available now, the updated 11 inch models won’t be available until August of this year (so save your pennies).
No matter which model you choose, you’ll be getting a portable PC that performs with the best of them. However, it’s clear that the Samsung Series 9 laptops weren’t designed with budget-minded individuals in mind. The sleek chassis and high-end touches like aluminum and HD LED displays make these machines geared toward the tech-head who wants more or the fashionista who wants their PC to look every bit as good as they do. In short, Samsung is offering an alternative to the crowd who thinks MacBook Pros and Macbook Airs are the only way to go.
As the company marketing material says, they’ll have you “multitasking like a ninja” and looking good while you’re doing it.
