I once got a freebie from my Bank, the combination of a tape measure, calculator and Notepad with pen included. I thought it was cool until I saw Smart line.

Smart string is like a tape measure, but without the tape. It is 50 feet 20 pound-force line. The line is not as big as traditional measuring tapes, it means that you can get more in the less bulky space. It also allows the user to measure less than straight shapes like circle ball, for example.

Digital reading means that the user is no longer looking at ticks and reading accurate to three decimal places. After the user has his or her dimensions, he or she can use it on a calculator. The built-in Calculator, you can store in-memory dimension 3 If you need to make real life history of the problem.

All this, plus a flashlight as well as the level of the bubble. Smart string is clearly the way forward for a tape measure and I wouldn't be surprised if this new standard. One day, we could look at traditional measures as we look at Rotary phones.

You should be able to get smart line for $ 11.99 at ThinkGeek now.
