2012 is a breakthrough year for the mobile device industry, with so many amazing high technology smartphones to choose from. Sometimes we find it hard to decide which one is the right smartphone for us.

This year is a big leap for Android devices, with many flagship smarphones are making the jump from dual core processors to quad core architecture. There are a lot of people are looking to buy or upgrade their devices in 2012 to quad core Android smartphones. Just for your buying information, here are  the five most popular quad core Android devices.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S III (To be released on May 29th in Europe and June in US). Get into the quad core technology simply by follow Samsungs newest offering. The device was the followup to the most successful Android device of all time, Samsung Galaxy S I. It was introduced last week in London, and . The device has an Exynos 4412 quad core processor, an 8MP camera, 1 Gb of RAM, a wider 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display, and is the most anticipated device of 2012. 
  2. HTC One X (Available in most markets now). This was the first quad core Android phone tohit the market, and announced with at Mobile World Congress, and has certainly made a well big attraction in the mobile tech world. The device is using a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, an 8MP camera, 1 Gb of RAM, and a beautiful 4.7 inch Super IPS LCD2 display. So if your looking for a quad core device with plenty of gaming power, the HTC One X is definetely not bad choice.
  3. Huawei Ascend D Quad (To be released in Q3 2012). Huawei announced a new phone and tablet, but a new quad core architecture that the company created just for its new devices. It runs with the Huawei K3V2 Quad-Core Processor that supposedly outperforms Tegra 3 by leaps and bounds. It also has an 8MP BSI camera, 1 Gb of RAM, and a 4.5 inch LCD-IPS display, 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound with Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus.
  4. LG Optimus 4X HD (Expected June/July release). LG's first quad core smartphone is LG Optimus 4X HD . It run with The Tegra 3 quad core with 1Gb of RAM. The design wise looks very similiar to the Galaxy S2, and spec wise is very similiar to the HTC One X. If LG keeps it's pricing competitive and gets better when it comes to updates, it could do very well in multiple markets.
  5. Google Nexus Device 2012/2013. Who will make this device or when it will release, not known yet. however it seem will be a hot release for 2012/2013. Will Samsung or HTC or LG are all in the running for the device, and that the phone will most likely be the first to debut Android Jellybean. There is no details info on specs, but the device will most likely be a quad core device with no physical buttons and stock Android. Hopefully we'll learn more details about the next Nexus in the coming months.
There are lots smartphones to choose from if you're aiming to go quad core, and while these are not the only quad core devices being introduced this year, they are bringing most noise to the world. Me my self definitely will go for Samsung Galaxy S III as right now Samsung is the leader of smartphone in the world beside Apple. So which one you want to buy?
