Is a decent smart TV Sony Bravia KDL-40EX720 bottom line: good quality image that offers money for less than the full feature set.
Review:
Not offers for the first time, Sony 3D, mid-range TVs, EX720 release, is this something that in focus of the company. In fact about the 3D functionality of this screen is a little shy. For example, are equipped with TV, 3D sensors, but Sony does not bundle sets of glasses it!
Instead more judiciously, probably over the unit "smart" feature note.
Samsung showcasing past spent over a year, Sony is almost seems like doing and becoming the midrange model in the design department. If accustomed range EX debuted in 2010, the Sony feels right at home EX720 style and is no sho. It is a two-tone design metal and glossy finish.
Remote control is the same as last year but frustratingly sets] button does not work, and "back" arrow to hit are not straightforward.
Only the name KDL 40EX720 everything smart TV offers most of the competitors to find feature "apps" should pay attention in the absence. Sound quality, but unfortunately, exceptional sound system "of especially disappointing after witnessing Samsung D7000 is one of the poorer side of this TV. Finally, we review some Aliens vs. monsters, and not to the level of 3D images, we have seen the best TV to 3 borrowed a set of 3-d glasses. Considerable cross-talk, and suffered from image flicker. To serve as additional disincentives poor Sony really show buy a complete set of eyeglasses family.

It’s been a while since we did a roundup of good peripheral devices for your smartphone, game consoles, laptops, and other assorted tech gadgets, so let’s get right to it. This time around, we’ll be looking at a mouse that looks more like modern art, a gaming peripheral that’s absolutely ridiculous (and not aimed at the Wii), and some really cool speakers.
It’s not enough to call these latest speakers from Libretone “speakers”. They’re technically gadget in their own right and support Apple4‘s AirPlay, so you can beam tunes to them wirelessly from your MacBook, iPhone, iPod or other iDevice. They come in four assorted colors, feature an edgy avant-garde asymmetrical style and produce decent quality sound.

The two models are named Live and Lounge. The Live is a 150 watt machine which even has a 3.5 millimeter jack for those of us without AirPlay enable music boxes. The Lounge is basically the same thing crammed into a smaller package (picture above).
Both models are designed to perfection and Libratone promises they’ll deliver a full 360 degree audio experience. They should. These puppies cost between $1,800 and $2,000 a piece.
If you’d like to window-shop these bad boys a little more or if you’re thinking about dropping all that hard earned pocket change on one, visit the official Libratone website.
Or should that be DiskMouse? I’m not quite sure how you pronounce the name but this little mouse is guaranteed to be like nothing you’ve ever seen before. It is cone shaped—like a coffee filter—and flattens to form a disk which you can then insert into your disk drive (hence the name) for storage purposes. Right now, this thing is only a design concept but the technology does exist to make this thing a feasible physical product. The question is: Is there a market for this kind of thing?

I foresee two problems with the Disk Mouse. #1) netbooks and even some new laptops and desktops don’t come with optical drives, #2) it’ll be hard to convince traditional mouse users to convert. However, the designers behind this Frankensteinian monster (Yanko Designs) say that the main focus of the project is to deliver an authentic mouse experience with a novel new form.
If you’d like to see this or more of the crazy designs that might just be defining your future, head over to the Yanko website.
Yes, that does say blow-up gameboat.
Just when you thought that Nintendo’s Wii had the market for stupid and utterly useless gaming peripherals cornered, Atomic Accessories decided to take a stab at the Kinect Market. The whole idea behind Microsoft’s Kinect system for the Xbox 360 is that you don’t need a controller or any other device (save for the Kinect sensor) to play games. Why then would a company think that players would be willing to buy such a monstrosity?

I’ll leave that up the psychologists.
The Kinect Game Boat is an inflatable rubber raft designed to be used with games like Kinect Adventures to add a sense of realism to jumping about the white water rapids in the game. However, I can see that the smallish design of the thing will easily result in twisted ankles, broken furniture, and (judging from the expression on the kid’s face on the box art) “extreme” hair.
Official word from the company is that the Game Boat will hold up to two players (though I don’t believe that for a minute). I’d pass on this one but I know that somebody out there will actually buy this thing. When they do, I foresee it ending up either buried in the garage/bedroom/closet or taking a dip in the pool. There’s just no reason to add peripherals to the Kinect system. If you wanted to do that, you’d be playing with a Wii.
I won’t say that Atomic Accessories makes crap; some of their peripherals actually look cool (they even have Lamborghini phone cases!), but this rubber raft is bound to fail.
If you’ like to take a look at some of the company’s better offerings, hit up their website.

Can’t wait for the Motorola Droid 3? You still have too—but not too long!
Android has risen from a minor player in the Mobile Wars to become a dominant force challenging the Iron Fist of Apple. The cream of the Android crop though has to be Motorola’s line of Droid phones (yes, partially because they had to get special permission from George Lucas to use the term “Doird”). However, the Droid 2 is old news and rabid fans want to get their hands on the Droid 3 – the latest model from Motorola. The company isn’t helping to keep them quiet much, what with all the leaked information and teasers about the Internet. So before the launch is official (most likely July 14th according to a Best Buy advertisement or July 7th according to an Android-centric website), let us take a look at just what you can expect from the latest and greatest from Motorola.

First off, the Droid 3 will be running on a Dual-Core OMAP 4430 processor, meaning it’s going to be snappy and responsive and can handle all sorts of multi-tasking—something Droid fans have come to love about their little companions. The icing on the cake is that the latest version of Gingerbread will be installed and ready to go right out of the box.

Unfortunately, it appears that the Droid 3 will be running on just 512MB of RAM, which sounds kind of small in comparison to similar android devices.
In addition, the Droid 3 will have a slide out full QWERTY keyboard (take a look at the picture below if you don’t believe it. That puts it one leg up in the Mobile Wars according to most smartphone users—touchscreens can be so temperamental.

The 8 megapixel camera (rear facing only) will shoot full 1080p video which you won’t have any trouble playing back on the 4 inch qHD screen. Or, if you prefer an even bigger screen, simply plug in to the HDMI out and shoot the video to your TV or PC monitor (Motorola has included a 6-foot HDMI cable for just that purpose—sold separately, of course). There is a camera on the front but no concrete word on exactly how many pixels it will capture.
You’ll be able to store that video and picture data on the removable 32GB MicroSD card and take it with you wherever you go.
The 1540mAh lithium ion battery should be good for quite a while in this beast (considering that it officially does not have LTE capabilities—though rumors hint that it might in the near future). According to a list of official accessories for the Droid 3, users will be able to buy an inductive battery cover which will most likely allow for wireless recharging via Qi (or some other unidentified PowerMat-type system) so they don’t have to worry about being tied to an outlet. If that’s not enough juice for you, you can also pick up an extended life 1930mAh battery to get the most out of your Droid.
You’ll also be able to choose between white and pink snap on covers that work even with the extended batteries—though I don’t know how many Droid users still fall for the third party phone cover scam.
As far as pricing goes, both Motorola and Verizon have been very tight-lipped, which is surprising considering how much information they have let slip. My guess (and this is only a guess) is that the phone itself with run around $200 with a contract but I would expect a bunch of bargains, rebates, and other special promotional deals to appear shortly after launch. Of course, you’ll have to sign a contract or update your current one but it might be worth it. The off-contract price will most likely run around $500-$600 and I would be surprised if it went any higher than that.

So, does the Droid 3 sound like something that’s worth the price you’ll pay for it?
Considering the versatility of the Android operating system and the speed of the processor this puppy will be packing, it looks like it may be a tough contender for any iPhone to compete against. However, the fact that it’s limited to 512MB of RAM has me a bit worried.

The HP TouchPad emerged onto the scene as a major competitor with Apple’s iPad but now that the machine has been on the market (and subsequently torn down so we all know what’s inside one of these beasts) we’re left to wonder if HP can afford to compete with the big dog.
The major selling points of the HP TouchPad is that it can do just about everything that an iPad can and more (thanks to compatibility with Flash and all the thousands of websites which use it). The price tag is also a major draw as well. So, can the margin HP earns on each one of these (and it can’t be very big) enough to keep the TouchPad afloat or will it go the way of the dodo bird?
The TouchPad is essentially a second generation tablet device. Running on the Palm operating system, the TouchPad features a 9.7 inch 1,024 x 768 screen slapped into a 1.65 pound shell. Inside there is a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and a full GB of RAM. (However, don’t expect that speed to appear in the boot time—the TouchPad is notoriously slow in that department).

While the display is bright, crisp, and every bit as beautiful as the iPads, the speakers are really something to behold. While they pale in comparison to even a moderate set of PC speakers, these bad boys outperform just about any tablet on the market—though to be truthful, most of the time you’ll be wearing headphones if you’re that worried about sound quality.
The TouchPad is available in 16GB and 32GB models so you can choose your limitations—no upgrading or SD slots here folks.
One strange feature (or lack thereof) is the missing rear-facing camera. There is a 1.3 megapixel lens in the front but nothing on the back. While tablets aren’t exactly meant for snapping family photos, it’s nice to have a camera when you want one.
The nine hour battery life HP promised sounds about right even though it’s a bit shy of the 10 hour time the iPad 2 allows its users to tinker. All that from a relatively small 6300 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery.
You get 802.1 b/g/n wireless built in for connectivity and cellular service is available with a separate contract not unlike most tablets on the market. You do also get Bluetooth but also, interestingly enough, built-in wireless LAN access.

You get a microUSB port and a 3.5 millimiter headset jack as well, just in case you were wondering.
Good luck getting the official figures from HP but through the wonders of reverse engineering, the Internet has at least some idea. You see, some enterprising fellows decided to crack the TouchPad open and catalog all the shiny parts inside the machine and now the Internet is doing a little side-by-side price comparison.
The retail prices of the machines range from $499 for the 16GB model and $599 for the 32GB version. However, by some crafty comparisons, the Internet has learned that the 16GB version would cost (if you were to manufacture it yourself with parts bought piecemeal) a whopping $328. That means that HP is, potentially, making less than 30% (a critical markup figure that smart businessmen almost never miss) on each device.
While the prices (both retail and of the parts) compare favorably to the iPad, it’s interesting to note that HP may well be better able to absorb any price discrepancies as they have such a huge catalog of other products available to boost their bottom line.

So is the HP TouchPad doomed to a quick and frightful death? Possibly—but not because of costs.
The lack of certain features modern tablet users consider essential and the vague promises of “upgrades” which may or may not come to fruition may be the key. If the TouchPad is viewed as a first foray in a competitive market, it’s easier to accept than a true rival of the iPad.
Still, Flash compatibility is a huge factor, allowing users access to a very powerful set of software tools that could really tip the scales.

The Toshiba Thrive may be not be one of the most revolutionary tablets to hit the marketplace this year but it is certainly one of the newest. While display models have been on store shelves for quite some time, the official retail release date for Toshiba’s little Android-powered tablet wasn’t until yesterday (July 10th). In addition to having some sleek and useful styling, the tablet is also extremely function with full-sized ports for those of us who really don’t like having micro USB and HDMI cords that only fit one digital accessory. So what do you get for your $480 when you go to your local Best Buy store?
The Toshiba Thrive is a 10.1 inch tablet that offer ultra-high resolution so you can enjoy all the best the web has to offer and videos in crystal clarity. One of the cool little features that make this Toshiba model interesting is the adaptive display. The tablet will actually sense the ambient light in your surroundings while you’re using it and adjust the screen brightness to fit the situation. While I have yet to see this in action to see if it works as promised, it’s an interesting concept at least.

You don’t have to be extreme to want a helmet cam to record a first-person view of your high jinx, but that is the market to which most of these camcorders’ manufacturers push their products. There’s nothing saying you can’t strap one to your head and walk around a comic convention or just walk down the street to make an interesting YouTube video. Whatever you plan to use for the helmet cam, you have to know that it has come a long way in just a short time—even models that were top of the line last year have taken a backseat to the new crowd. So here are four cameras that will do what you need them to. They will work in pretty much any situation.
The Contour+ helmet cam is one of the bulkiest in this lineup. It’s basically an upgrade from the Contour which-in itself-is a highly capable little machine. So what do you get for the near $500 price tag?

The camera takes full HD video (1080p) at 30 frames per second. It has a built-in GPS function for added
